This October Half Term Goal Sports will be running a pokemon tournament at Nafferton School during break and Dinner times. Children will be pitted against one another for the full week with points scored for a victory. The top 4 players of the week will qualify for the finals on Friday.
Prizes on offer this half term include - A Gift Tin which includes rare cards + boosters, a deck box and some deck protectors!

Goal Sports takes pride in introducing young aspiring footballers to local teams. For the past year Goal Sports have introduced dozens of youngsters to local club Driffield Juniors FC. Driffield Juniors FC is a charter standard football club who offer a safe and friendly football environment within each of their youth teams. Driffield Juniors boast youth teams from the Mini's age range up to Under 16's and have had great success in many age categories. We are hoping to take on Scarborough + District (Hull City Development centre) once agan, Scarborough Excellence side (Sheff Utd Development centre), Hull City Academy and possibly some other local teams!!!!

Goal Sports coaches at Driff School
Goal Sports currently have an Apprenticeship in Activity and Sports Leadership NVQ position available for any young budding coaches.

Skills and personal qualities Sports coaches need:

  • to be knowledgeable about all aspects of the sport
  • perseverance and patience
  • to be inspirational motivators
  • good communication and listening skills
  • enthusiasm
  • to be sensitive and supportive
  • organisational skills
  • to be able to work well in a team, and on their own initiative
  • to be good at analysing problems
  • to understand training principals and methods.

    Experience and qualifications are a bonus but are not essential as training via the Apprenticeship will be given.

    Our vacancy is to coach children between the ages of 4 - 14. All successful applicants will need to be CRB cleared.
